(Fulton, NY – May 9, 2013) – The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Fulton have arrested three teens as a result of an investigation into a stolen assault rifle.  On Tuesday, May 7 the State Police in Fulton received a report of a stolen rifle from a residence in the Town of Granby.  Troopers and Investigators from the Fulton Barracks conducted an investigation and subsequently arrested the following individuals:

1) Emmanuel M. Granger, 19, of 443 State Route 48, Fulton, NY – Grand Larceny 4th (E Felony), Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd (D Felony), Criminal Sale of a Firearm 3rd (D Felony) and Making a Punishable False Written Statement (A Misdemeanor) – Arraigned in the Town of Granby Court, remanded to the Oswego County Jail on $10,000 cash / $20,000 bond.

2) Darren M. Love, 18, of 46A Davis St., Phoenix, NY – Criminal Sale of Firearm to a Minor (C Felony), Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd (D Felony), Endangering the Welfare of a Child (A Misdemeanor) – Arraigned in the Town of Granby Court, remanded to the Oswego County Jail on $2,500 cash / $5,000 bond.

3) 14 year old juvenile – Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd (D Felony) – Turned over to his parents, to be handled in Oswego County Family Court.

The investigation determined that Emmanuel Granger had stolen the firearm, a Hi-Point 9mm Carbine, along with 9mm ammunition from within a residence in the Town of Granby.  Granger then passed the firearm to an acquaintance of his, Darren Love.  Love subsequently sold the firearm to a 14 year old male for cash, which was then split with Granger.  Investigators recovered the weapon and the ammunition within the residence of the 14 year old suspect, where three other young children were present.

Granger has a return court date of June 3, 2013 in the Town of Granby Court.
Love has a return court date of May 15, 2013 in the Town of Schroeppel Court.
The 14 year old’s charges are being handled in Oswego County Family Court.
