(Utica, NY – May 2013)  Catalyst, Watch Us Grow, is a new young professionals group being organized within and governed by the Mohawk Valley Chamber of Commerce. A Steering Committee of 13 Chamber member employees, from a diverse work background, are leading the Catalyst group in its initial creation, development and future endeavors. They are:

Catalyst’s mission states: to provide awareness of opportunities available in the Mohawk Valley by engaging young professionals through Chamber events, services and benefits.

 

The group’s objectives are:

  • Present helpful and positive image of the Mohawk Valley and the Mohawk Valley Chamber of Commerce
  • Promote local pride
  • Create events geared to young professionals
  • Professional development and career growth
  • Mentoring
  • Volunteering
  • Educate existing Chamber members on Chamber events and services
  • Retain young professionals in the Mohawk Valley

 

This young professional group’s energy is infectious and its goal is to empower members to recognize and enhance the value of living and working in the Mohawk Valley.
