(Skaneateles, NY – May 9, 2013) The Skaneateles Girls Softball team has had a strong start to their season. The new season kicked-off with positive attitudes, a team ready to work, and even a new look.

Victory Sports Medicine & Orthopedics donated to the Skaneateles High School girls softball booster club so the team could use that money and purchase new jerseys. Skaneateles athletic teams frequently raise money or find a local company to sponsor their program.

“Marc and Victory Sports Medicine have been very good to the community over the years, donating and sponsoring many things; they even sponsor the youth team as well,” said John King, Skaneateles Central Schools’ head varsity softball coach.  “Victory Sports Medicine is active in the community and they give back whenever they can to help out. They have been wonderful with us; it’s a good relationship. It’s nice knowing that a local business will help the community like this.”

“Victory Sports Medicine, and myself personally, have built a good relationship with the Skaneateles Schools’ athletic teams, and are involved in many ways. This is just one way we can help and are happy to contribute,” said Dr. Marc Pietropaoli, owner of Victory Sports Medicine & Orthopedics.

The Skaneateles softball team is a young one, having only 2 seniors and 1 junior, with the rest comprised of freshmen and sophomores. Their goal this season is to qualify for Sectionals.
