SP Marcy BCI charges Marcy Correctional inmate with Possession of a Weapon
(Marcy, NY – May 20, 2013) On May 18 the New York State Police BCI in Marcy charged Kenyan Sultan, 18, an inmate at Marcy Correctional Facility with first-degree Promoting Prison Contraband and third-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, both felonies.
Sultan is alleged to have possessed a homemade edged weapon on his person when he was frisked on April 28 at the facility.
He is to be arraigned in the Town of Marcy Court on June 13 and remains in the custody of the NYSDOCCS.
SP Remsen charges Trenton man following a domestic dispute
(Trenton, NY – May 20, 2013) On May 16 the New York State Police in Remsen arrested John L. Wishart, 32, of 10196 Mapledale Road, Barneveld following a domestic dispute.
Wishart is alleged to have engaged in a physical domestic with his girlfriend in the presence of his children. He was located in the City of Utica and was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child (misdemeanor) and second-degree Harassment (violation) for the domestic dispute. At the time of his arrest, Wishart was found to be in possession of marijuana and was additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana in the City of Utica.
He was arraigned on the domestic dispute charges in the Town of Trenton and posted $500 cash bail. He was additionally issued an appearance ticket for the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana charge returnable to the City of Utica Court on May 23.
SP Marcy BCI arrests Menands woman for Promoting Prison Contraband
(Marcy, NY – May 20, 2013) On May 18 the New York State Police BCI in Marcy, in conjunction with the New York State Department of Corrections Inspector General’s Office, arrested Tara R. Martin, 28, of 575 Broadway, Menands as she entered Marcy Correctional Facility as a visitor.
Martin is alleged to have possessed approximately 40 grams of marijuana on her person, which she intended to give to an inmate at the facility. She was charged with second-degree Promoting Prison Contraband and fifth-degree Criminal Possession of Marihuana, both misdemeanors.
She was arraigned in the Town of Marcy Court and was committed to the Oneida County Jail on $2,500 bail.
