(Marcy, NY – May 28, 2013) Jennifer Keida has recently been elected to the board of directors of the Building Performance Institute, Inc., a national organization that “develops standards for energy efficiency retrofit work using an open, transparent, consensus-based process built on sound building science.”
Keida is the current chief operating officer at Standard Insulating Co., located in Marcy.
“I am pleased to have been named to the BPI board of directors,” said Keida. “This is an esteemed group of professionals, and to be included as one of their team is a definite honor. I look forward to serving on and working with this board.”
As COO of Standard Insulating Co., Keida runs the company’s day-to-day operations. Starting her career with Standard in the company’s Conn. office, she began in sales and grew into the general manager’s position.
In 2003, Keida returned to the Mohawk Valley and joined the Utica staff. Since then, she has held the various roles of sales manager, executive vice-president, and her current post as COO.
In her role as a member of BPI’s board of directors, Keida will join other building professionals from all across the nation in working to help set American National Standards on all aspects of residential energy retrofit work. BPI is an independent, not-for-profit organization that brings together building science experts from across North America.
BPI Chief Executive Officer Larry Zarker indicated that Keida was unanimously approved to join the BPI board of directors at their May meeting and welcomed her to the board. She will be sworn into office on Aug. 28 in Boston, Mass.
