(Syracuse, NY – June 29, 2013) The American Red Cross of Central New York Chapter located at 344 West Genesee Street, Syracuse is asking for volunteers to assist with the relief efforts of flood victims in Central New York.
The American Red Cross is sheltering, feeding and providing necessary services for residents of Herkimer, Oneida and Chenango counties displaced by the floods of recent days.
The Red Cross needs volunteers who can help feed, lift bulky items, load vehicles and do administrative duties. To volunteer, you must be at least 18 years of age.
If you are interested, The Red Cross will be processing volunteers between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at their offices located at 344 West Genesee Street, Syracuse, New York.
