(Marcy, NY – July 22, 2013) State Police Investigators arrested Kevin D. Blanchard, age 31, and David L. Rienzo III, age 24, for third-degree Grand Larceny, a class D Felony.
The brothers, who both report residing at 503 Calvert St., Rome are accused of stealing a combined total in excess of $20,000 from the bank account of two relatives over a two month period. Family members discovered the suspicious bank activity and subsequently reported that numerous checks had been stolen, forged and cashed by the pair.
Both defendants were sent to the City of Rome Police Department lockup to await arraignment. Additional charges are pending.
