(Clinton, NY – Sept. 2013) Residents of the Lutheran Home of Central New York on the LutheranCare campus happily presented 100 hand-made teddy bears to representatives of this year’s New York State Fair. The bears were of tremendous assistance in comforting frightened children at the Fair’s Lost Child and First Aid stations.
The resident members of the sewing group known as the Sewing Medley have been stitching and stuffing teddy bears for over 15 years. The recipients of these donations have included local children in distress in ambulances, hospital emergency rooms and at fire scenes. Each cuddly bear sports a tag reading, “Made with Love by the Lutheran Home Sewing Medley.”
