(Chittenango, NY – Sept. 2013) Wanderers’ Rest Canine Classic Dog Walk & Festival will be held Sunday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Jim Marshall Farm in Chittenango.
The event will begin right at 10 a.m.
Lainey’s Army is organizing a 1 Mile Challenge–they want to surround the Canine Classic event with 5,200 feet of people willing to stand united against animal abuse.
Immediately following the 1 Mile Challenge, the Wanderers’ Rest board will make an important shelter announcement.
The festivities will continue throughout the day, with lectures by dog trainer Victoria Stilwell, of Animal Planet’s “It’s Me or the Dog,” an appearance by “Pit Boss” Shorty Rossi and his service dog Hercules, dynamic K9 unit demonstrations, raffles, a bake sale, a dog show, horse and carriage rides, music, food, vendors, dozens of adoptable dogs and cats from 20 local shelters and rescues, and of course the Canine Classic Dog Walk around the track at Jim Marshall Farm.
