(Hamilton, NY – Oct. 2013) October is a busy month at the Hamilton Public Library. Over the next few weeks we’ll have displays across from the circulation desk as well as the adult fiction section and fireplace room featuring books and informational materials about: Teen Read Week, Edgar Allan Poe, Colgate University’s Living Writers series, Violence Prevention Month, and World War II.
We also have an up-coming author visit with Tim Skjellerup, highlighting his book Maximize Your College Experience, as well as, a presentation by Grove Havener who is a local veteran and survivor of the invasion of Iwo Jima.
So, stop by the library from time to time this month to see what is new, and don’t forget to check our website http://midyorklib.org/hamilton/ and Facebook page for up-to-date information about programs, special events, and other general library-related information: http://www.facebook.com/HPL.books .
Considering volunteering your time to help others and build community connections? Madison County Reads Ahead is currently looking for additional GED tutors. The local Program Coordinator matches volunteer tutors with individual learners to insure compatibility between their schedules and learning styles.
