(Munnsville, Oct. 2, 2013) Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence on East Hill Road, Munnsville yesterday evening at 8:10 p.m. in response to a tip of a possible methamphetamine lab.

Deputies arrived on the scene and confirmed a clandestine lab was in operation. A suspect, Scott E. Lohr, 47, of East Hill Road in Munnsville, arrived while deputies were conducting their initial investigation.

After questioning, Lohr was arrested and charged with one count of third-degree Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine, a Class D Felony.

Lohr was arraigned in the Town of Stockbridge Court and was remanded to the Madison County Jail on $1,000 cash/$5,000 bond. He is due back in court Oct. 10 to answer that charge.

Due to the dangerous nature of the lab, the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team (CCSERT), New York State Department of

Environmental Conservation, and the Munnsville Fire Department also responded and assisted with securing the lab’s location, which was in a detached garage. Scene clean-up was completed early this afternoon.

Lohr is facing additional charges pending the completed investigation. He is presently being held at the Madison County Jail.
