(Canastota, NY – Nov. 2013) The Great Swamp Conservancy is holding an old-fashioned day of making nature crafts on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. Check in at the office complex, 8375 N. Main St., Canastota.
Using natural grown materials and recycled Christmas cards create your choice of three unique holiday decorations. A treasured, handmade gift, designed by you will be a cherished keepsake for years to come.
Some of the available projects include Mother Nature’s Magic Star, Seed Pod Creatures, an Evergreen Basket, Seeds Under Glass and Pumpkin Seed Owls. If you have some treasured Christmas cards you can’t bear to throw away bring 12 large ones and we will show you how to create a one-of –a –kind treasure box. Or choose from several other items.
An ideal opportunity for quality time with a special child or loved one, we invite people of all ages, any skill level (or none) to come share a special time of fellowship and holiday gift making.
