Tuesday at 10 a.m.
This is an early literacy program of rhymes, songs, fingerplay and stories that will help children from birth through two years old to develop pre-reading skills.

Tech Help
Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon
Volunteer tech advisors will be on hand to help users set up and adapt their devices, from iPads to tablets to smart phones. No appointment is needed. Tech Help will be available Wednesdaymornings in December at Oneida Library.

Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Friends of the Oneida Public Library offer gently used donated books and DVDs for sale at bargain prices to benefit the library.

For the 33rd annual Holiday Story Hour, Ginny Pendleton hosts an evening of songs and stories for children and their parents, with special guests and a visit from Santa Claus. Refreshments will be served.

A Christmas Carol
Thursday at 7 p.m.
Oneida Public Library and the Oneida Community Mansion House co-host the virtuoso performance of Kim Tenreiro in a one-person dramatization of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” in the Big Hall of the Mansion House, 170 Kenwood Ave., Oneida. Admission and parking across Kenwood Ave. from the Mansion House are free.

AARP’s Drivers Safety Class
Monday and Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The AARP offers its Drivers Safety Class to licensed drivers 50 years and older for potential discounts in car insurance. To register, call Bob Fish at 363-0455.

OPL Board of Trustees Meeting
Monday at 5 p.m.
The Oneida Public Library Board of Trustees will hold its monthly meeting in the library’s History Room. The public is invited to attend.

A Charlie Brown Christmas
Monday at 6 p.m.
Sarah Davies Hasegawa makes a special appearance at Oneida Library to portray Sally from the Peanuts gang for an old-fashioned Charlie Brown Christmas, complete with music, games and refreshments.

Oneida Library hosts a tea for Mary Rose Zalvis of Oneida upon the publication of her memoirs, “Scattered Hayseeds,” which covers the story of her long life in Central New York. The public is invited to attend.

After-school Science: Winter Wonders
Tuesday at 4 p.m.
Jen Herzog of Herkimer County Community College presents hands-on experiments for elementary and middle-school students to reveal some of nature’s winter secrets.
