(Utica, NY – Jan. 2014) To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Americorps program and its impact, plus, commemorate the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, the Utica MHA Americorps Team is collecting new and clean, reusable coats, boots, hats and gloves for adults and children in need.

The AmeriCorps Volunteers have coordinated a number of locations where people in the community can deliver items to donate to the residents of Utica Municipal Housing Authority or anyone else that is in need of these items.

The locations include:

St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church on Catherine Street, Utica

Harley Davidson Dealership on Commercial Drive in Yorkville

Spectrum Laundromats located in the Big Lots Plaza (North Utica) and in the Whitestown Shopping Center in Whitesboro.

Peter’s Cornucopia in the New Hartford Shopping Center

Utica Fire Department (Bleecker St. and Sunset Ave. locations)

The First United Methodist Church 127 N. Prospect St. Herkimer

Wendy’s Beauty Connection 100 Morgan St. Ilion
