(Yorkville, NY – Jan. 22, 2014) The Oneida County Association of Towns (OCAOT) held its winter meeting on Jan, 21 at Club Monarch inYorkville and it featured two guest speakers.  Oneida County Executive, Anthony Picente, Jr. spoke on his Vision 20-20 Initiative and also discussed his Action to Re-Align Government Operations (ARGO).

Jo-Anne Humphreys, Water Quality Specialist from Oneida County Soil & Water Conservation spoke on the various components of a Hazard Mitigation Plan.

Both speakers took questions from the audience of about 60 people.

Also at this meeting, the vacancy of 1st Vice President of the OCAOT was filled by Rick Sherman, who moved up from 2nd Vice President. 2ndVice President was filled by Ben Simons.

The Secretary of the OCAOT was filled by Heather Mowat.

The OCAOT has a goal of helping towns obtain greater economy and efficiency, and to provide learning and networking opportunities for town officials.

Officials from local government in Oneida County are welcome to attend all OCAOT meetings.
