(Poland, NY – Jan. 23, 2014) The State Police BCI in Herkimer are currently investigating a robbery at the Stewart’s Convenience Store located at 8 Cold Brook St. (State Route 8) in the Village of Poland.
On Jan. 22 at approximately 9:50 p.m. a male subject walked into the Stewart’s in Poland, demanded money, and then fled the store on foot southbound towards the intersection of State Route 8 and State Route 28 in the village.
The subject is believed to have then gotten into an unknown vehicle and fled southbound on State Route 28.
The subject is described as a white male approximately 6’3″ tall, slender build, possible facial hair and green eyes. He was dressed in a green hooded winter jacket, black ski mask, gloves, jeans, and green winter boots.
The subject threatened the use of a firearm but none was displayed. Anyone with any information regarding this robbery is asked to contact the State Police BCI at 866-7275
