Hamilton Public Library news
(Hamilton, NY – Feb. 2014) On Feb. 6 from 6 to 7 pm, Matthew Davis will host a program on how to get the most out of the best free web services on the Internet. The class will provide an overview with instruction for using services like Gmail (e-mail), Google Calendar, Doodle (for event scheduling), Google Drive (for editing and saving documents, spreadsheets, and more), and Pixlr (for editing photos). For our planning purposes, please sign up in advance for this class at the library circulation desk, or send an e-mail mdavis@midyork.org indicating your name and phone number.
Tax time is here again. Both the state and federal tax forms have been ordered and we hope to have them available at the library within the next few weeks. Certified volunteer income tax consultants will be available at the Hamilton Public Library again this year to help low income families and people sixty years old and over complete their tax forms. These sessions are free and by appointment only. Low income families in Madison County may call (315) 697-3588 to schedule an appointment. Regardless of income, seniors wishing to schedule an appointment should call (315) 824-3361; for more information please call (315) 684-3001.
