(Albany, NY – April 1, 2014) Sen. Joseph A. Griffo welcomed the Mohawk Valley-New York State Women’s 3-on-3 basketball squad to the Capitol Tuesday, March 25 as a resolution was passed commemorating their bronze medal winning performance at the National Senior Games in Cleveland, Ohio.
The team is comprised of Meg Cullinan, Crystal Bass, Linda Ptak, Andrea Dziekan and Karen Poole. The quintet has won gold medals at the Empire State Senior Games in three of the last four years. They competed against 18 other teams from across the county in the 50-54 age group during the National Games, which were held July 24-27, 2013.
