(Syracuse, NY – May 2013) The newly formed Syracuse Chapter of the Holistic Chamber of Commerce will hold an organizational meeting May 13 at 6:30 p.m.   The location will be announced once attendance can be estimated.   Those interested should join the interest list at http://mad.ly/signups/105171/join for more information and updates — and will immediately receive a thank you audio of an 84 minute interview on “Ten Common Mistakes Holistic Businesses Make.”

The meeting will allow opportunities to network with area green and holistic business owners, as well as inform about the Chamber and set the agenda for upcoming meetings and activities.   “We’re looking for people interested serving on the Advisory Board as well,” shares chapter president Tim Emerson of Kwan Yin Healing, “to guide the chamber moving forward.  So come and let your voice be heard.  Let’s create a chamber that serves you.”  More information about the Chamber can be found at http://www.holisticchamberofcommerce.com/syracuse.

The Holistic Chamber of Commerce is an international organization which serves as a bridge bringing consumers together with holistic and eco-friendly options. Its over 1,000 Professional Members are reference-checked prior to being represented in the online Member Directory.  With a vision of healthy people on a healthy planet, HCC is weaving together an international movement promoting holistic, natural and sustainable products, services and solutions.

“Central New York is the perfect place for the Holistic Chamber of Commerce,” notes Emerson.  “We have a large population here and a community that really values those products and services. It’s time for us to come together and show the standard of integrity and professionalism these practitioners bring to the work they do. I see association with the international organization as a natural partnership for our vibrant and growing holistic business community.”

“This area is so rich in holistic practitioners,” explains Emerson. “Acupuncturists, Chiropractors, Naturopaths & Homeopaths, Energy Workers, Eco-Friendly Businesses, Integrative Therapists, Life & Business Coaches, Massage Therapists, Nutrition Counselors, Psychologists, Marketing & Business Support Professionals, Web Masters, book sellers, and many more alternative, green, bigger vision entrepreneurs and services abound. What they need are a central hub of support, networking, and collaboration.”

Education is also high on the new chapter’s agenda. “Often people are unsure what these businesses do, or they aren’t aware this rich range of opportunities exist in this area. Bridging that gap, fitting the right clients with the right businesses, will be a big part of our work moving forward.”

Area restaurants with a separate room available the second Tuesdays of the month interested in hosting the meetings are invited to contact Emerson at syracuse@holisticchamberofcommerce.com.
