(Town of Sullivan, NY – May 2014) Some pups have already been enjoying gallivanting in the completed Canine Corral Dog Park in Chapman Park on Route 31 between Bridgeport and Lakeport, but the grand opening celebration will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at the park.
We invite you and your favorite four-legged friends to join us as we officially open our brand-new dog park. Those in attendance can expect prizes, guest speakers, vendors, dog-related activities, music, demonstrations, food and fun with our canine friends.
The park is open for dogs to enjoy and includes a large fenced-in area, divided into two sections, where small and large dogs can be free to run safely off leash under the watchful eyes of their owners.
The dog park is conveniently located near the playground, restrooms and picnic pavilions and overlooks beautiful Oneida Lake.
Planned additions to the dog park include water fountains, a pavilion for shade and play equipment for the dogs.
Admission is free, but there will be a can and bottle drive to benefit the park, so please bring your empties. We will also hold a pet food drive for the Hardeko Helping Paws Pet Pantry, and all donations of dry or canned dog or cat food are appreciated.
