(Norwich, NY – June 2014) The next free film screening of the “Second Tuesday’s Monthly Film Series” will be 7 PM on June 10th. at the United Church of Christ, 11 W. Main, Norwich. “Dirty Wars” is the award-winning and Oscar-nominated documentary featuring reporter Jeremy Scahill’s real investigations of behind-the-scenes military operations that are carried out in our name in the covert war on terror.  Generally unknown to the general public, nor directly sanctioned by Congress, the film reveals the dark side of American wars in the 21st Century and suggests such actions are illegal and promote a state of endless global war.

As has been this monthly event’s format, attendees are invited to come at 6:30 for a light supper before the showing, and to stay on for discussion after the viewing.   It is requested one please not park in the church’s lot behind it, but instead on the street, or in the County Office Building or Hayes Street municipal lots.

This monthly community service educational film series event features screenings on current environmental, social justice, and war & peace issues.  It is co-sponsored by Chenango County Peace Action and C-CARE (Community Action for Renewable Energy).
