(Madison, NY – June 2014) Matthew Urtz, Madison County Historian will speak about scandals and historic events at Part II of his program offered at the Town of Madison Historical Society, South Street, Madison, at 7 p.m. Monday, June 16. This follows a membership meeting for the historical society that starts at 6:15. The public is invited to the meeting since the society is looking to expand its membership in order to keep offering the public events such as this.
Urtz will talk about multiple murders that rocked the county, the demise of the Loomis Gang, fires that destroyed villages and many more stories that took place in Madison County from 1851 to 1900.
