(Madison, NY – June 2014) The seniors in Madison meet for a covered-dish lunch at noon Thursday, June 26, at the Town of Madison Historical Society building, South Street, Madison. Bring a dish to pass and your own place setting.
After lunch, a discussion will be held on “Remember When?” where locals talk about events and life in the past. This could include farming, the cars that were driven, school, stores and businesses, families, radio and television shows and more. This will be led by Town Historian Diane Van Slyke, who will take notes on the conversation.
Invite someone as your guest to contribute to local stories and verbal history; call Van Slyke at 315.893.7910 if you have history to share or would like to attend.
