(Morrisville, NY – June 2014) Join us at 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 13, for our last Scandals of Madison County talk at 6:30 p.m. Madison County Historian Matt Urtz, will share the final scandals of the 1900s and the most recent ones in Madison County (that he can get away with telling us about).
We will be hosting a Pizza Hut fundraiser from 4 to 10 p.m. Thursday, June 19. It’s easy –stop into the library or see any trustee for a coupon and go to the Hamilton Pizza Hut between the times above and buy pizza; 25 of the sales that night go to our library. If you forget your coupon, make sure to mention the library or we won’t get the credit. Eat LOTS of pizza, salad, etc., and help the Morrisville Public Library. You can eat in or carry out.
Join us at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 20, for some Summer Fun. Let us get you all ready for the summer. Come join us for summer fun and celebrate Ice Cream Soda Day, too. We will have ice cream sodas and more, play some games, read some books and have a grand ole time.
Bill and Mary Lewis, co-authors of the series “Through the Heartland on US 20” present their first three books – Massachusetts, Eastern New York and Western New York – at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 26. See pictures of the area and hear stories about State Route 20. Buy the books and get them signed, too.
Friday, June 27, at 6 p.m. is our next Movie Night. We are showing Monuments Men. It is rated PG-13, so we will not allow children under the age of 13 in to view the movie without their parents or guardians. Bring your own beverage; we provide the popcorn.
Summer Reading begins Monday, July 7. “Fizz, Boom, READ” is the theme this year. We have LOTS of fun programs and performers planned. Stay tuned.
We will be closed every Saturday until Aug. 31. We will resume Saturday hours Sept. 6. We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
