(New Woodstock, NY –June 2014) The Cazenovia Watercolor Society will have an exhibit at the library open during regular library hours through June 27.  The Society has been showing works at the library each year for almost two decades.

The Watercolor Society was organized in the fall of 1980 with the mission of “rekindling and developing” local interest in watercolor painting.  The group established itself as “one of the more prominent watercolor societies in the Easter United States,” according to a history of the organization written by Richard E. Lee in 1988.

All exhibits and presentations at the library are free and open to the public

The New Woodstock Free Library is located at 2106 Main Street (Route 13) in the hamlet of New Woodstock.

The New Woodstock Free Library is open Monday through Friday 1 to 5 p.m., Monday and Wednesday evenings 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 until 1.  The library is also open whenever the blue library symbol flag is flying out front.  Children’s hour is every Tuesday at 11 a.m.  The next family movie night will be Friday, June 20 at 7 p.m.  “The Lego Movie will be shown.  Movie night is free.
