(Brookfield, Wampsville, NY – June 2014) The Madison County Youth Bureau is again coordinating free activities in the events tent from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at the 175th Madison County Fair, 1968 Fairgrounds Road, Brookfield.

This is the sixth year for the Youth Tent, and 13 organizations will be present to offer families the opportunity to participate in games, crafts and fun. Balloons will be available while supplies last.

Families that visit at least nine booths in the Youth Tent will be eligible to receive a free family prize. All activities in the Youth Tent are free with paid admission to the Fair.

“I’m pleased that so many local organizations continue to support this event and offer free activities for children and families,” said Joanne Eddy, director of the Madison County Youth Bureau. “We are looking forward to a fun-filled day as we help celebrate the 175th anniversary of the Madison County Fair.”

Groups will host youth activities – games, projects, local celebrities, educational programs – throughout the day in the Youth Tent.

Stop at the Youth Bureau booth first and pick up a punch card before visiting the booths to be eligible to win a free family prize.

Entry to the Fair is only $3.00 per person. Kids under age four are free. All activities in the Youth Tent are free on Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information and to see photos of previous years’ events, visit www.madisoncounty.ny.gov/youth-bureau/home.
