(Geddes, NY – Aug. 23, 2014) State Police arrested 34 year-old, James C. Hines II, from Troy for first-degree Possession of a Forged Instrument, a class “C” felony and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class “A” misdemeanor.
Hines was charged with passing (17) counterfeit $20 US dollar bills to vendors at the State Fair. Troopers were alerted by several vendors at the State Fair that Hines had passed the counterfeit money. Hines was also charged with possession of synthetic cannabis.
Hines was arraigned in the Town of Geddes Court and remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center on no bail. He is scheduled to reappear in court on Sept.3 at 4 p.m.
