(Cazenovia, NY – Oct. 2014)) Don’t miss the BLOCK PARTY in the Community Room on Monday, Oct. 13 also at 3:30 pm, when everyone will be creating something using the Library’s large wooden unit blocks.
The Library is a place for discovery and imagination, and these building programs fit that mission. Building offers children the experience of making their imaginative musings come to life. By introducing them to these hands-on experiences with science and math, children not only learn how to build different structures but how to also make them stronger and taller.
Both programs are recommended for children ages 4 and older, and, as always, both are free and open to the public.
For more information on these building parties or other events at the Cazenovia Public Library, call 655-9322 or visit cazenoviapubliclibrary.org.
Archives Events Continue
On Oct. 15 at 7 p.m.“Be Kind to Your Documents: How to Care for Documents You Don’t Want to Lose” will be held. This program will focus on how items in the home can be rehoused to prolong their lifespan; in other words, it’s time to throw out that shoebox.
The last event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. “Sharing Your Personal Archives,” presented by local amateur genealogist Sue McCullough, is a repeat of her summer workshop in which attendees see examples of McCullough’s work and learn simple and practical ways to assemble their own personal archive. We all want to share our family history, and McCullough will demonstrate how to make that possible.
Please stop by or call the library at 655-9322 if you wish to attend this program.
All programs at the Cazenovia Public Library are free and open to the public.
Keep posted for more information on the programs for National archive month, and call 655-9322 with questions.
