Oneida police patch(Oneida, NY – Dec. 1, 2014) Glen L. Coonrod 2nd, 27, of Pexton Street, Sherrill was issued an appearance ticket Nov. 28 to appear in Oneida City Court Dec. 12 to answer a charge of Unlawful Possession of marijuana.

Meridee Carpenter, 52, of Charles Street, Cortland was arrested Nov. 28 on three counts of second-degree Harassment. She was arraigned and committed to Madison County Jail in lieu of bail to appear Dec. 5.

Austin J. Wilson, 17, of Furnace Avenue, Oneida was issued an appearance ticket Nov. 29 at 12:43 a.m. to appear in Oneida City Court Dec. 2 to answer a charge of Unlawful Possession of Alcohol under 21 years of age. He was charged again at 1:07 a.m. with fourth-degree Criminal Mischief and Disorderly Conduct. He was arraigned and committed to Madison County Jail in lieu of bail to appear Dec. 5.

Kristoffer A. Palmer, 21, of Valley Mills Road, Munnsville was arrested Nov. 29 on the following charges; Driving While Intoxicated, Operating With a BAC of.08 of One Percent or More of Alcohol, Uninspected Motor Vehicle and Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle. He was charged after being found passed out in a running vehicle in the south bound lane of Broad Street. He is to appear Dec. 5.

Joshua M. Allen, 27, of Fyler Road, Kirkville was charged on Nov. 30 with Petit Larceny. He is to appear Dec. 12.

John S. Williams, 47, of North Street, Oneida was charged Nov. 30 with second-degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Improper Plates. He is to appear Dec. 12.

Nov. 25

Oneida City Police are investigating a reported stabbing that occurred at about 11:40 p.m. on Farrier Avenue on Nov. 24. The victim reported that he was walking with a friend when a silver colored Ford pulled up and two occupants got out. He first stated they attempted to rob him and then said that they started an altercation with his friend and he attempted to intervene when he was stabbed in the side.

He then went to a friend’s house to call for help. The victim was taken to Oneida Health Care Center for treatment. The victim, age 24, from New York City was uncooperative with police. The suspects are described as Hispanic males; one was 6’ about 180 lbs., 27 to 28 years old, long black hair with two dredlocks;  the second male was described as 5’7”, 170 lbs., 27 to 30 years old with a short beard.

Investigation is continuing.

Nov. 25

Kevin M. Kodya, 21, of Williams Street, Oneida was charged twice on Nov. 23 with Disorderly Conduct. He is to appear in court Dec. 5.

Kaylee M. Rugg, 21, of Carrick Road, Oneida was charged Nov. 20 with Petit Larceny. She is to appear Dec. 19.

Tiffany A. Klein, 25, of N. Broad Street, Oneida was issued a criminal summons on Nov. 24 to appear in Oneida City Court Dec. 9 to answer a charge of second-degree Harassment.

Robin L. Learned, 54, of N. Main Street, Oneida was issued a criminal summons Nov.24  to appear Dec. 9 in Oneida City Court to answer a charge of second-degree Harassment.

Nov. 21

Follow up investigation into the Nov. 7 arrests of Jason B. Magnuson, 32, Viola Street, Oakville Conn. and Steven L. Smith, 54, of Hancock Street, Fort Plains has led to additional charges.

The two were arrested on Nov. 7 after they were alleged to have committed a theft at Walmart, fled on foot and then fled in a vehicle striking an Oneida City Police vehicle, drove over the grass onto Route 5, failing to stop for police and were stopped shortly after in Canastota where they attempted to flee on foot and were apprehended by Oneida City Police Officers.

On Nov. 21  Smith was additionally charged with; five counts of third-degree Burglary, class D Felonies, two counts of third-degree Grand Larceny, class D Felonies, fourth-degree Grand Larceny, a class E Felony, Petit Larceny, and two counts of fifth-degree Conspiracy.

Magnuson was additionally charged with: third-degree Burglary, third-degree Grand Larceny, two counts of Petit Larceny, two counts of fifth-degree Conspiracy and three counts of Trespass.

Follow up investigation by Walmart Loss Prevention Personnel and Oneida City Police revealed that Smith and Magnuson allegedly made multiple trips into Walmart, which they are previously banned from entering onto the property, and on different dates and stole merchandise.

The total value of merchandise alleged to have been stolen by the pair is valued a little over $10,400.

They were arraigned on the additional charges and will appear in court at a later date. They are currently committed to Madison County Jail
