(New Hartford, NY- Dec. 2014) The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley is pleased to announce that two of our YMCA Film and Acting Students have signed contracts with a top NYC Talent Agency, “Take 3 Talent.” Casey Caruso, age 12, and Emma Hullar, age 11, both of Sauquoit have been asked to sign a one year contract with the agency.
Both students started in a 12 week film program in 2012 at Sauquoit Elementary School through a joint venture between the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley and Sauquoit Valley Central School. A total of 20 students participated in the Sauquoit film program and 6 continued on with more training at an eight month YMCA Film Making Program.
On Oct. 22 of this year all past participants of the YMCA Film and Acting program were fortunate to have a talent agent from NYC come to New Hartford for a workshop on the entertainment business made possible by a grant the NYSCA DEC program.
The agent, Eddie Rabon, was impressed by all the children in the program. Three of the students were invited to NYC to meet with other agents at Take 3 Talent. Casey and Emma made the trip to NYC and were interviewed by agents and asked to perform given material. Both were offered a 1 year contract and will return to NYC to sign their contracts. Casey and Emma will now be auditioning for numerouscommercials, TV shows and feature films. Nathan Jones, age13, from Poland will be traveling to NYC for his visit at Take 3 Talent early next month.

“I am very proud of my students,” said Chase Clifford, Arts and Humanities Coordinator at the New Hartford YMCA School Age Center. “I would like to thank Hank Leo, our CEO, and all involved for their support and for green lighting these kinds of projects which offer great opportunities to our community.”
