New Year’s Holiday

Oneida Public Library will be closed both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. It will be open as usual on Friday, Jan. 2, at 9 a.m.

AARP’s Drivers Safety Class

Tuesday and Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The AARP offers its Drivers Safety Class to licensed drivers 50 years and older for potential discounts in car insurance. To register, call Bob Fish at 363-0455.

WWI on Film: ‘Paths of Glory’

Thursday at 7 p.m.

Director Stanley Kubrick’s “Paths of Glory” dramatizes the court martial of three French soldiers for alleged cowardice and mutiny after a disastrous assault on a German-held fort. The award-winning drama fictionalizes an incident during the Battle of Verdun in early 1916. Discussion and refreshments to follow.

Old Clay Stone Band

Thursday at 7 p.m.

The scintillating Old Clay Stone band brings to life country, bluegrass and classic rock tunes. The band features David Taylor on 12-string guitar and vocals; Frank Cook on banjo, guitar and vocals; Pat Mercer on mandolin and guitar; Jim Corpin on percussion; and Suzi Taylor on bass. Admission is free.
