(Yorkville, NY – Jan. 2015) The Oneida County Association of Towns (OCAOT) will have two guest speakers at their Jan. 20 dinner meeting to be held at Club Monarch (16 Erie Street) in Yorkville.
Sheriff Robert Maciol of the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) will provide an update on the various services available that the OCSO provides or can provide to towns.
Major Francis Coots of the New York State Police (NYSP) will given an update on his new leadership role within the NYSP and how the NYSP serves Oneida County towns.
The meeting starts promptly at 6pm. The guest speakers will begin after dinner has been served.
“For the last few OCAOT meetings, we’ve been scheduling two guest speakers and it seems to work well,” said Fritz Scherz, OCAOT President. “The two speakers scheduled for our January meeting each serve in vital criminal justice and leadership roles within the community. With those roles comes an awesome responsibility and it will be great for the members of the OCAOT to have an opportunity to not only learn more about the roles and services of the OCSO and NYSP, but to also have an opportunity to ask questions of both Mr. Maciol and Mr. Coots. I’m hopeful of seeing many of my colleagues from local government in Oneida County at this meeting and encourage those interested to sign up right away as seating is limited.”
The OCAOT has a goal of helping towns obtain greater economy and efficiency, and to provide learning and networking opportunities for town officials. Officials from local government in Oneida County are welcome to attend all OCAOT meetings.
The cost per attendee (payable at the door) is $20. While payment is not required in advance, reservations are appreciated. To do so, contact Fritz at: fritz@fritzscherz.com or call: (315) 363-3509 no later than Jan. 15.
