(Utica, NY – March 2015) On Monday March 2 United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area hosted its Annual Day of Thanks. On this day every year, staff, the board of directors, volunteers and interns put their daily fundraising efforts on pause to take a moment and say “Thank You” to organizations, companies and individuals who make a commitment to LIVE UNITED.
This year’s Day of Thanks theme is “Thanks A Latté!” In hopes of reaching and thanking as many people as possible in one day, United Way took a three-pronged approach. United Way staff members and interns, Brenda Episcopo, Kristyn Bucciero, Sandy Allbright, Jordan M. Heath, Enesa Sabanagic and Lindsey Horner, made personal visits to 11 companies and organizations involved in the 2014 workplace campaigns. They brought with them coffee and treats from Utica Coffee Roasting Company in order to say, “Thanks a Latte!”
