(Morrisville, NY – April 2015) The following programs have been scheduled in May at the Morrisville Public Library.
LIBRARY CLOSURES: The library is closed every Saturday from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. So we will be closed Saturday May 23 and 30. We will also be closed on Monday May 25 to observe Memorial Day.
Share-A-Book, Book Talk: Bring a book or two (or more) that you would like to share with the group on Friday May 1 at 12:15pm. Bring your lunch and discuss all these favorites. After, these will be compiled into our summer reading list for adults for 2015.
Teen/Adult Movie Night: We provide the popcorn, bring your own beverage and join us. We are showing the movie, Taken 3 on Friday May 1 at 7:00pm. PLEASE NOTE: It is rated PG-13 so we will not let anyone view the movie who is under 13 without an adult present. Remember the movie ends after we close so if you have library business to do, come early before the movie starts.
Decorate our SRP Banner: Help us decorate a letter for our Summer Reading banner. Stop in during library hours from Monday May 4 through Friday May 29 and get a letter to take home and decorate. First come, first serve. Open to kids ages 2-17. Letters due back to the library by June 19, 2015.
Tai Chi Chuan Class: Come learn Tai Chi Chuan with instructor Bill Snyder. Open to all teens and adults. Best part, it’s FREE. Join us on Monday May 4, 11, and 18 at 6:30pm.
Kiddies Korner: Bring the little ones out for our preschool story hour about flowers and our moms on Tuesday May 5 at 9:45am.
Female Faces of Madison County: Join Madison County Historian, Matthew Urtz as he tells the story of 20+ prominent female Madison County Citizens and their impact on US history on Friday May 8 at 6:30pm.
Kiddies Korner: Bring your preschool children in to hear stories about bees and honey and make a bee craft to take home on Tuesday May 12 at 9:45am.
Kiddies Korner: On Tuesday May 19 at 9:45am, bring your preschool child in to read about ice cream as we end our preschool story hour until October. We will have ice cream sundaes to celebrate another great year of stories.
Library Board Meeting: The Library Board of Trustees will meet on Thursday May 21 at 6:30pm in the program room. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Family Movie Night: Join us for Family Movie night on Friday May 29 at 6:00pm. We provide the popcorn so bring the family and your own beverage. We will be showing the movie, Paddington.
