(Cazenovia, NY- May 2015) A month long celebration of “Art Takes Flight” kicks off on Saturday May 16 with Stone Quarry Hill Art Park’s annual Kite Fest. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Bring the whole family for a day of kite flying, crafts, a hot air balloon walk by Airborne Adventures (that’s right you get to walk around the inside of a hot air balloon), and food by Shattuck’s Paddy Wagon. Fly your own kite, make a kite, or enjoy kite flying demonstrations by New York Kite Enthusiasts.
Entrance fee for non-members is $5/person, members and children 16 and under are free. Balloon walk offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with support from Airborne Adventures.
Bird Portraits a gallery exhibition by artist Steve Cagan will also be on view.
