meetings(Oneida, NY – May 2015) The Oneida County Association of Towns (OCAOT) will have a dinner meeting May 19 at Marble Hill Inn (4482 Marble Hill Road) in Oneida.

Scott McNamara (Oneida County District Attorney) will speak regarding“Town Courts – Where Do We Go From Here?”

Stephen Smith (Executive Director of Mohawk Valley Economic Development District, Inc.) will cover “How Land Banks are Strengthening America’s Neighborhoods.”

The meeting starts promptly at 6 p.m. The guest speakers will begin after dinner has been served.

“Once again, the OCAOT is sticking with the two guest speaker format,” said Fritz Scherz, OCAOT President. “The two topics our guest speakers have selected will be timely, as there have been many discussions on not only the court system but also the topic of land banks. These two speakers are well-versed in their respective topics and I know I will learn a lot this evening and am confident my colleagues in the OCAOT will as well. I encourage those interested to sign up right away as seating is limited.”

The OCAOT has a goal of helping towns obtain greater economy and efficiency, and to provide learning and networking opportunities for town officials. Officials from local government in Oneida County are welcome to attend all OCAOT meetings.

The cost per attendee is $20. For reservations, contact Fritz at: fritz@fritzscherz.com or call: (315) 363-3509 no later than May 14.
