(Kirkland NY – May 2015) Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps (COCVAC) and its members were recognized for their achievements throughout the past year during the annual Medal Day Awards Ceremony on Wednesday May 20. The following individuals were presented with awards.

EMS Achievement, presented to individuals who by act or deed represents the most outstanding achievements in EMS over an extended period of time:

The annual Medal Day Award Ceremony is held as part of EMS Week, a celebration of emergency medical services though out the nation.  On Friday, May 15 the President of the United States began the week long celebration by issuing a proclamation recognizing the daily sacrifices of EMS personnel.

  1. Congratulations Brian Calcara. Am very happy to see you awarded for your service to COCVAC. As well as all of you others. Our EMTS will never be acknowledged for their dedication enough. Once again, to all of you, congratulations!! But especially to you Brian since I know what a huge heart you have!!
