(Oneida, NY- Aug. 2015) In connection with the recent release of her book, “Spirited Deed Revelations,” Resurreccion Dimaculangan, now owner of the historic Spirit House in Georgetown, will present a discussion on historic preservation called “Cooperation, Collaboration, Competition, Cash with Care” on Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 6:30 p.m. at the Oneida Public Library, 220 Broad St., Oneida.

Dimaculangan, who has a master’s in museum studies, invites both history buffs and civic-minded individuals interested in preservation to attend and share their views.

The Spirit House, built by the spiritualist Timothy Brown about 1865, is unusual in design, boasting tiers of scalloped cornices reminiscent of an elaborate wedding cake. After years of neglect, the building is in need of extensive restoration. The Spirit House was put on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

The program is free and open to the public.

For more information, stop by the Oneida Library, 220 Broad St., or call 315-363-3050.

  1. MA in Museum Studies is actually written as a proper noun, being a Degree from a University.
