Halloween(Bouckville, NY – Sept. 2015) The Halloween Happenin’ is a free event for the community on the Chenango Canal held at the corner of State Route 20 and Canal Road in Bouckville.

The event will take place Saturday Oct. 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. (rain date is Saturday Oct. 24).

The Chenango Canal Association is searching for volunteers to help carve 125 jack o’ lanterns in advance, help with set up and help man the event.

The event offers a non-scary side that includes a costume contest, movies and a real scientist doing experiments, a clues hunt 7 adventure walk and refreshments. Lights in the trees make this a spectacular sight.

Madison Central School students are helping with live haunting on the dark, scary trail.

Local businesses and other non-profits are helping to make this event a success, but volunteers are still needed to make this happen.

Please call Diane Van Slyke at 315-729-8323 for more information.
