(Hamilton, NY – Dec. 2015) Staff members from the Community Action Partnership hung scarfs, mittens, and hats on the coat pegs by the computers in the Hamilton Public Library and in various park trees and green spaces throughout the county to help provide warmth to those in need as frigid winter weather approaches. Please take what you need to keep warm as the weather turns colder.  To contact CAP for help or more information about the Solutions to End Homelessness Program, please call Melissa Ryberg at 697-3588 ext.38 or Sandi Bain at 706-5611.

The New York State Department of Public Service reminds us that “as the winter season approaches, many New Yorkers will face a difficult time managing their energy costs.”  There are several simple and no-cost or low-cost energy saving measures to consider, as well as, some financial assistance programs.  For more information about energy efficiency and winter energy tips, please visit the Public Service Commission’s website at www.AskPSC.com or call 1-888-Ask-PSC1.

A reminder, that we will be adjusting our hours of operation for the holidays.  The Library will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 25.  We will also be closing early at 4pm on Thursday, Dec. 31 and closed all day on Friday, Jan. 1. In the meantime, our Library staff and volunteers wish you a safe and happy Christmas and we’ll look forward to seeing you again in the New Year.

The Library is normally open Monday-Friday, 10am to 7pm, and Saturday, 10am to1pm. Please visit or call the Library (315) 824-3060 during these hours for assistance. The book drop at the front of the building is always available for your convenience.
