Stone Quarry Hill Art Park(Cazenovia, NY – Dec. 2015) Snow Drawings will be held Jan. 23 and 24 and Jan. 30 and 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Stone Quarry Hill Art Park.

An Artist Lecture will take place Friday, Jan. 22 at the Cazenovia Public Library from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Stone Quarry Hill Art Park begins the exploration of its 2016 theme: Collective Constructions with Artist-in-Residence Sonja Hinrichsen. Interested in the relationship between our perception and utilization of place, Sonja will work with volunteers to create a landscape-scale “drawing.” Using only snowshoe footprints, Sonja will transform the vast, winter landscape of Stone Quarry Hill Art Park into a work of art.

Help make it happen– volunteer your footprints. Interested in being a part of this monumental artwork? We’re looking for volunteers to work with Sonja to create her Snow Drawing. Any age is welcome; the work will be fairly physical so it’s suggested that children under 16 be accompanied by an adult.

Some snowshoes will be available to borrow but be prepared to bring your own. Volunteers can help one day or both days and can contribute 2 to 6 hours of time.

Free hot chocolate to all volunteers.
