(Town of Vernon, NY – Jan. 7, 2016) Oneida based state police arrested an Oneida Castle woman for DWAI-Drugs following an investigation into a collision between a school bus and SUV on Jan. 6.

At approximately 3:10 p.m. Oneida County 911 dispatched troopers to a personal injury accident on Circle Drive in the Town of Vernon.  The accident investigation determined that an Oneida High School bus carrying four students was stopped on Circle Drive to let one of the children off when Briena M. Dunning, 22, backed her 2005 Chevrolet Blazer from the driveway of her residence on Circle Drive and struck the driver’s side rear of the bus.

One 12 year old student on the bus was transported by Vineall Ambulance to Oneida Healthcare Center with neck pain.

An evaluation of Dunning at the scene determined that she was impaired and she was taken into custody.  Dunning was evaluated at the SP Oneida barracks by a state police drug recognition expert and found to be under the influence of prescription medications, which impaired her ability to drive.

Dunning was charged with Driving while ability impaired by drugs and unsafe backing and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Vernon Court Jan. 27 at 1 p.m.

State police were assisted at the scene by members of the Oneida Castle Fire Department.

DWI charged in Verona traffic stop

(Town of Verona, NY – Jan. 6, 2016) Oneida based state police charged a Durhamville man with DWI following a traffic stop on State Route 31 in Verona Sunday evening.
At approximately 10:15 p.m. Jan. 3 Trooper Jeremy Nash observed a 2011 Ford F150 pickup truck travelling westbound on Route 31 pass through a red light at the intersection of Route 365.  Nash stopped the truck and identified the driver as Andrew J. Sequin, 34, of Irish Ridge Road in Durhamville.

As Trooper Nash interviewed Sequin he observed that he appeared to be impaired.  Field sobriety tests determined Sequin was intoxicated and he was taken into custody.

Sequin was processed at the SP Oneida barracks, where a breath test determined his blood alcohol content to be .09 percent.  Sequin was issued traffic tickets for DWI, Driving with a BAC of .08 percent or greater, passing a red light, imprudent speed and unlawfully tinted windows returnable in the Town of Verona Court on Jan. 19.

Oneida police patch(Oneida, NY- Jan. 6, 2016) Erica N. Frayer, 30, of Main Street, Oneida and Laura A. Roberson, 29, of Main Street, Oneida were charged Jan. 5 with Prostitution. The two are alleged to have agreed to provide sexual acts in exchange for money.

Erin L. Tobin, 29, of Lenox Avenue, Oneida was issued a criminal summons Jan. 5 on a charge of Petit Larceny. She is alleged to have stolen merchandise from Wal Mart.

Michael J. Colvin Jr., 22, of Williams Street, Oneida was issued a criminal summons Jan. 5 on a charge of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Colvin is alleged to have punched a window during a dispute causing glass pieces to fall into the crib of a sleeping 1 year old child.

Abigail E. Adams, 22, of Ransom Avenue, Sherrill was arrested Jan. 5 on a Bench Warrant for allegedly failing to appear in court on charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Refused Breath Pre-Screening Test and Failed to Keep Right.
