During March and April, visitors to the Cazenovia Public Library Art Gallery will enjoy a glimpse into the unique and varied talents of members of the Cazenovia Watercolor Society. With the content of this exhibition as diverse as the artists themselves, everyone will find something to admire.
Sherry Wright takes us afar with “Low Tide at Lands End, England” and “Blue Hill, Maine.” Taloa Perry adds “Jackson, Wyoming” and Jane Carroll the “Jersey Shore” while Linda Evans has a proud rooster “Strutting in Vietnam.”
Closer to home are “Winter Shadows on Rippleton Cross” and “Red, White, and Blue Winter” by Judith Haynes Levins as well as a “Portrait of Dorothy,” co-founder of Stone Quarry Hill Art Park in Cazenovia, by Pamela Vogan Lynch.
Extraordinary nature scenes are found in Tom McCobb’s “Open Water,” Theresa Gena’s “Higher Ground,” and Jana Laxa’s “Winter Silence.” Barbara Kellogg contributes an abstract flavor in “The Softness of Spring” as does Ann Cross in “By the Pond” and Tanya Atwood-Adams in “Spring.”
These and other paintings by the Watercolor artists will be on display in the Library Art Gallery during regular library hours: 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.weekdays and 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Saturdays.
The Cazenovia Watercolor Society is open to all artists in the area. Interested persons are invited to visit www.cazwatercolor.org for more information.
