Oneida police patchCarey A. Hewitt, 27, Lenox Ave., Oneida, was charged March 8 with petit larceny. She is alleged to have stolen merchandise from Wal-Mart.

Desaray L. Felker, 21, Canal Road, Oneida, was issued an appearance ticket March 8 for a violation of the city trash ordinance.

Amber J. Kodya, 37, S. Main St., Canastota, was arrested March 8 on a bench warrant for allegedly failing to appear in court on a charge of issuing a bad check.

Shawn D. Masse, 22, Broad St., Durhamville, was arrested March 11 on the following charges: fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class E felony; fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class A misdemeanor; and defacement of a weapon a class D felony. Masse was previously arrested Feb. 18 on charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and criminal possession of a weapon.

Further investigation resulted in the additional charges. The gun possessed by Masse was allegedly stolen in a residential burglary in Oneida County on Feb. 17, along with an Xbox game system that Masse had in his backpack. The serial number on the firearm had been scratched. Masse was arraigned and continues to be held at the Madison County Jail.
