The OPL to reschedule Tim Collins’ play

Oneida Public Library must cancel the May 19 performance by Tim Collins of his new one-man play “Speaking Up, Speaking Out,” due to his pressing family concerns. The OPL plans to reschedule the play for sometime this coming fall.

In the meantime, the OPL’s Family Super Saturday will go on as originally scheduled on May 19 at 11:00 a.m. with a celebration of the book selection for the One District/One Book spring edition sponsored by the Oneida City School District for students and faculty alike. The book, “The Lemonade War” by Jacqueline Davies, details the humorous rivalry and not-so-funny growing hostility between two young siblings, both of whom are out to make a killing in the front-yard lemonade stand business.

Megan Gillander OPL’s youth services coordinator, has planned an hour’s programming of games and activities that will help bring out the novel’s themes.

For more information, contact Meagan Gillander at the Oneida Public Library, 220 Broad St. or call 363-3050.
