Annual Syracuse Convention Happening April 18 – 21
(Syracuse, NY – March 26, 2013) Lake Ontario Region 16, the largest region within the Sweet Adeline International organization, will hold its annual Regional Convention in Syracuse beginning Thursday, April 18 through Sunday, April 21. As many as 1,500 women will travel to Syracuse to compete for the opportunity to represent Region 16 at the 2014 International Convention to be held in Baltimore, MD. The Regional Convention has been happening in Syracuse for more than 30 years.
Lake Ontario Region 16 is proud to include 33 choruses and 46 registered quartets within its regional borders which cover Eastern Ontario, Canada and Northern New York State.
Again this year, there will be a mass sing held on the steps of Onondaga County Court House on Friday, April 19. All are welcome to hear the voices of nearly 1,500 women in four part harmony. The mass sing will be held at 12 p.m. noon with a rain date location at The Lower Level of the Civic Center.
The quartet / chorus contests will be held at the Crouse Hinds Theatre, Civic Center on April 19 and 20 respectively. Media is welcome, however photography is not permitted during the contest. Please forward all requests for attendance to the Chair, Regional Convention noted above.
