(Hamilton, NY – June 2013) Annual Father’s Day Fly-In Pancake Breakfast will be held Sunday June16 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Hamilton Airpark, 6610 Airport Road/Wings Way.

The Hamilton Rotary Club and the Hamilton Business Alliance have again teamed up to sponsor the 4th annual Father’s Day Fly-in Pancake Breakfast. Flying in is not really necessary, of course, but planes and other aircraft will definitely be part of the day.

Anyone over the age of 18 who pre-buys a ticket will be entered in a drawing for a free airplane or helicopter ride. There are 2 plane ride and 1 helicopter ride prizes that will be given away. To get your tickets you can visit the booth at the Saturday Hamilton Farmer’s Market, stop at the Peppermill at 3 Madison Street in Hamilton, or purchase them from any Hamilton Rotarian.

Last year over 1,100 families, friends and neighbors gathered to celebrate the morning with Dad, have a great meal and enjoy some special activities. Again on the menu this year are pancakes (of course!) sausage, scrambled eggs, coffee, juice and milk. And lots and lots of maple syrup to sweeten things up!

Back again this year are some favorite activities such as the hot air balloon walk for the kids, Heritage Farm animal zoo, and antique cars and fire truck display. This year there will also be a “photo spot” booth where children and their Dads can pose for a picture together under the “I Love My Dad” sign.

Local musicians Bruce Ward and Friends will be adding to the atmosphere of fun and relaxation with live music. This is all included in the advance admission fee of $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-11. Children under the age of 5 are free. (Note: adult price at the door is $10.00). Proceeds go to benefit Rotary’s numerous worldwide service initiatives, as well as benefitting local economic development.

For an extra charge folks can fly the skies over Hamilton and surrounding towns, valleys and lakes in either an airplane or a helicopter for $20. This was incredibly popular at last year’s event.
