Duo Named to All-ECAC Hockey Third Team; Finn All-Rookie
(Lake Placid, NY- March 20, 2014) Junior Spiro Goulakos and rookie goaltender Charlie Finn were both honored by ECAC Hockey with third team accolades.
Goulakos finished the regular season with a career high eight goals and tied a career best with 19 points in 36 games. He had five power play goals as the point man on the top unit for the Raiders. He had two gamewinners and 17 of his 19 points came in league play, which was tied for third most on Colgate. Four of his five power play goals came during ECAC Hockey play.
Finn was named to the third team as well as the all-rookie squad. The netminder had a 15-6-4 overall record and an 11-3-3 mark in conference play. He became the first goalie since Mark Dekanich ’08 to win 15 games in one season. Finn posted one shutout and it came in the Mariucci Classic title game against then No. 2 Ferris State. Finn posted a 2.15 goals against average in league play and a .922 save percentage.
