(Chittenango, NY – April 2014) The International L. Frank Baum and All Things Oz Historical Foundation, a registered museum with the NYS Board of Regents and 501C3 non-profit organization known as the All Things Oz museum needs your help.

The goal of the all-volunteer Oz committee is to preserve the history of Chittenango’s native son L. Frank Baum. Chittenango is known worldwide as the birthplace of Oz. How fortunate we are that we were donated the old Chittenango Variety and Crafts, a/k/a Chittenango Pharmacy and Perrone’s Drug Store. Now we can preserve the Baum history and repurpose a historic building in downtown Chittenango.

This is a huge project that must be done in phases. The Oz committee is putting its heart and soul into the project, but they can’t do it alone.

There are so many things they need donated to help complete the museum including but not limited to: monetary donations, electrical, plumbing, flooring, roofing, siding, insulation and windows. They need lumber, cleaning supplies, museum cases, office supplies and fixtures and so much more.

The museum exhibits are currently in storage as the lease at the former location ended March 31. The new location needs to set and ready to go when 20,000 people come to the village to celebrate Oz-Stravaganza.

If you know a guy or gal or maybe you are that guy or gal who can help call 315.333.2286 or 315.415.8546. Donations of any size help. We know “it takes a village” so let’s come together as a village and get this project done. Thank you.
