(Herkimer, NY – Sept. 5, 2014) Herkimer College Head Men’s Soccer Coach Pepe Aragon won his 300th game on Thursday, Sept. 4 in a 5-1 victory over Onondaga Community College at Wehrum Stadium. His record is now 300-27-14.

Herkimer (2-0, 0-0) has been led by Aragon for the last 17 seasons, accumulating seven national championships during that time.

Under Aragon’s leadership, the Generals have won seven national championships (1999, 2000, 2005, 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2013), the last three in a row, and totaling 10 as a program since its inception in 1976. Aragon’s teams have won the Region III championship 17 years in a row, never finishing lower than fourth place in the NJCAA Division III national tournament.

Aragon is the second head coach at Herkimer to accomplish the feat, putting him second in wins only to former lacrosse coach Paul Wehrum. Aragon surpassed his predecessor Perry Nizzi (291-56-11) in wins last year.
